چکیده
Introduction: Salivary gland Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology is a well-established pre-operative diagnostic tool done routinely worldwide. Heterogeneity of salivary lesions makes cytology diagnosis challenging for most cytopathologists. Milan system reporting six tier developed to minimize inter-observer variability, thus enhance reproducibility cyto-diagnosis.
Aims: To study utility System Reporting Gland Cytology.
Methods: This one-year hospital based at Department Pathology, Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital. It included 46 cases Cytology. Biopsy was available 22 them. were reported as per the and subsequently correlated with gold standard histopathology.
Results: Age patients ranged from 8-79 years submandibular parotid being commonly involved ones. Most in Category II (Non Neoplastic) according (48%) followed by IVa (Neoplasm- Benign) accounting 37%. Pleomorphic Adenoma commonest Benign Neoplasm. Malignancy (Category VI) accounted 11% FNAC while suspicious V) 6% case. Diagnostic accuracy calculated 88.88%. Cohen Kappa test value 0.81 showed strong agreement between biopsy.
Conclusion: The should be applied standardization there good correlation it Histopathology, hence are complementary each other.

Background and objective: Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) of salivary gland lesions is an accepted and useful diagnostic tool to differentiate between benign and malignant lesions. Majority of the neoplasms are benign, and specific diagnosis on cytology can be made in most of the cases. However, the utility is limited by the overlapping and heterogeneous morphol...
